In early 2019 we put in motion a brand new structure by our sister company called The Cruck Tent. A lot of time, research and effort was put in to design and manufacture our unique structure so we needed to arrange a launch event to reveal the finished design. Pairing up with a local company The Roth Bar and Grill who were also launching a new venture of “Roth on The Road” we planned the perfect launch party in April 2019.
Personal invitations were sent out to a VIP list of guests including wedding & event planners, local bloggers and exclusive venues. We also invited our own clients and social media followers.
The launch took place at a private home called Roundhill Grange which also has plans to be used as a venue for weddings, events and exclusive supper clubs in the future. It was the perfect place to set up, hidden from the main road and surrounded by beautiful Somerset countryside .
Roth Bar and Grill
Roth Bar & Grill is a local company in Bruton that was opened in 2014. “On The Road” is a new concept for 2019. Taking the food, fire, styling and service that they offer at the restaurant, out on the road. The Cruck Tent is a perfect match for outdoor catering events whether it be a wedding, birthday, family celebration or corporate event.
We are always keen to work with and support suppliers within the areas so this seemed like the perfect opportunity to have them at the event.
The list included;
As an extension to the launch party an exclusive dinner by Roth on The Road was put on and held in the main house.
The menu consisted of;
Planked Salmon with garden herbs & Somerset Honey
Kitchen Garden Salads
Lemon Posset & Shortbread
This went on in to the evening and gave everyone the opportunity to see The Cruck Tent in the dark. Lit up with Edison bulbs, festoon lights and large timber round bar it really does look stunning at night. Our VIP guests included Kirsten the little wedding helper an award winning venue stylist who we have worked alongside with for weddings and events.
About The Cruck Tent
The Cruck or ‘Crook’ barn was a staple structure back in medieval England. Its unique design consists of two beams or blades leaning inwards, fixed with a cross or tie beam securing the framework.
Whilst the new design stays true to its historic roots, it is much safer and more weather resilient than its medieval ancestor. Plus, it has been carefully engineered for easy installation and is simple to move, suiting temporary occasions perfectly. Standing tall at 7m high and 16m wide. In terms of length, they start at 12m long. But, this can be increased by 3m at a time – to match the size that suits your guest numbers, interior requirements and location.
