When the team at Abbas first laid eyes on the Kata Tipis, we all fell in love. Since introducing these stunning structures into our marquee range, we’ve continued to witness couples and their guests do the same.
The Kata Tipi is a modern version of a traditional cone-shaped tent, used by the semi-nomadic Sami tribe from northern Scandinavia. Not only are they aesthetically stunning and eye-catching they are also practical, built to withstand harsh weather whilst their ability to have open sides and their circular shape also makes them incredibly social spaces.
One of our couples were married on a beautiful summers day in the depth of the Welsh countryside, opting for a laid-back wedding in our stunning Tipis. A winding lantern-lit pathway through the beautiful meadow led to three of our Kata Tipis, kitted out with our rustic feasting tables, traditional folding chairs and glowing with fairy lights throughout. The bride and groom added their own additional personal touches; a photo booth area scattered pom-poms and hung bunting. With plenty of space, lots of sunshine and a statement boat to enjoy outside, the sides of the tipis were lifted and drinks and games were enjoyed alongside these beautiful structures.
Congratulations once again to the lovely bride and groom. It was a pleasure helping you create your special day!
