River Cottage's Head of Events Steven Lamb is working with Abbas Marquees to begin work on the temporary structure that will replace the barn, while it's restored to its former glory after a fire. The temporary structure will need to be completely bespoke to house Hugh Fearnley Whittingstall's Cookery School, Canteen and Commercial Kitchen.

This month Abbas Marquees will be featuring in 'Bristol & Somerset, Your Wedding'. Lucy and Jonathan approached us to create a quintissential English Wedding at their parent's home. We created a fabulous focal point by dressing chandeliers with flowers in the lemon, white and ivory colour scheme and the centrepieces were church candles surrounded by roses in a glass vase.

Snow? Not a problem! In fact, we feel that a snowscape provides an attractive backdrop for our marquees. We've just shovelled our way through tons of the stuff to ensure that a wedding went ahead. And very lovely it was too. In fact, as this is being typed (by an unhardy person in an office), we have donned our snowshoes again, and are heading off for another snowy celebration. If you've booked our services, and are worried about the weather, please give us a call we don't believe in giving in easily! (And we have a lovely collection of heaters...)

As ever, we've been reinvesting in expanding our portfolio. Have a look at our new chill out/party tent for 2011. It's the perfect marquee for a laid-back, contemporary style party, or perhaps as an annexe for a large event. We've also just bought lots of new exterior lighting, enabling Abbas to create an even more stunning atmosphere for your evening celebrations. So, it looks like 2011 will be another exciting year for Abbas Marquees we've already taken record bookings, and several weekends are already fully-booked. To find out more, please contact us.

Our annual charity event, held last October, was a great success again. We raised £8,000 for Cancer Research and £8,000 for Help For Heroes, both fantastic charities who are very close to our hearts. Many, many thanks to those who helped raise the money those who generously donated, and all those who gave their services for free. We hope you all had a great evening! Click here to view the letter we received from Help to Heroes thanking us for the money we raised.
Next year, the event will take place on 1st October we'll keep you posted with further details. Find out more about our Charity Events
